"An artist's duty, as far as I'm concerned, is to reflect the times.” - Nina Simone

Joshua (he/him/his) is a New York-based theatre artist with over 15 years experience working on both sides of the proverbial curtain.   He began his professional journey as a teaching artist in Orlando, Florida where he developed educational theater and acting programs for students of all ages. While still an undergraduate, he co-founded and served as Artistic Director for the independent producing outlet Relevant Theatrics Theatre Company where he gained early experience and explored work that intrigued him. He went on to gain a broad range of knowledge in the theatrical profession and is additionally informed by his time as an Actor, Administrator, and Stage Manager. He has worked with a wide range of companies including The Shakespeare Theatre Company, The Walt Disney Company, The Little Theater on the Square, Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Silk Road Rising, Porchlight Music Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, and Atlantic Theatre Company. He is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association (AEA) and associate member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC).

While Joshua enjoys a wide variety of styles and genres, he is continually drawn to work that explores the political and social constructs that shape societies, with a particular interest in stories that truthfully examine all aspects of the American experience. Because of the theatre's power as a tool of communication and transformation, Joshua believes artists have a responsibility to create work that encourages thought, inspires debate, and expands points of view.

Joshua holds an MS in Leadership for Creative Enterprises from Northwestern University and a BA in Theatre Studies from the University of Central Florida. He is also an alum of the Milwaukee Repertory Theater’s Professional Residency Program where he trained under the tutelage of some of today's most respected directors and theatre artists.
